[6.3.3] Hard Disk Manufacturers {Brief}
From: Disk Here's a partial list of web pages for manufacturers of disk drives. At many of these you can get reasonable tech info and support contacts. http://www.quantum.com http://www.seagate.com http://www.micropolis.com http://www.storage.ibm.com/storage/ http://www.FCPA.com (Fujitsu) http://www.conner.com (now merged w/ Seagate) http://www-dmo.external.hp.com/disks/main.html http://www.storage.digital.com/swrks/catalog/sup_html/pr-disk.htm NOTE: HP announced on about July 10th, 1996 that they're getting out of the hard disk business. The article I saw didn't give an exact time frame. (rdv, 96/7/13) http://theref.c3d.rl.af.mil/hard_drives/mh__main.html has good info on older drives, and new info is available at http://www.cs.yorku.ca/People/frank/Welcome.html.
