In 3.1.1, General Guidelines for mailing lists and NetNews section, we need to add the following -- For a message posted on the mailing list, send a reply to the mailing list, and not to the original poster, unless he/she has explicitly asked for personal replies.The rationale behind this is ``If you post it to the group, you read it on the group." When the OP has posted to the group - in most of the cases, he wants a reply on the group.
